Building your MLM Online in 2005
Hello how are you? It's been busy and exciting here in our new office in Ashland, Oregon. I hope to have some of our new pictures up shortly so I can share with you some of what we've been doing!
As you know, a few months ago I updated my free report The Truth About Network Marketing Online with some news about what works and what no longer works online. Well, things continue to change rapidly, and changes on the internet prompted us to take a look at some new options for building your network marketing business online.
Every Networker's Dream
How would you like to have smart, high quality business people calling YOU about your network marketing business?! People who appreciate you and want to hear about what you're doing?
Wouldn't that be a great change of pace from the usual grind of spending a ton of money on leads, asking everyone you know for referrals, making cold calls, handling objections and so on?
How would you like to be trained for FREE in the RIGHT way to build your business online ... with methods that actually WORK, with methods that most network marketing leaders won't tell you about?
How would you like to build your business without buying leads, pitching your friends and family, or "closing and handling objections"?
Wouldn't that change how you FEEL about what you're doing? Well that's the way that we like to work, and so we set about finding a way to do this for our team.
Online MLM Leads Generation Update
Our team has noticed in the last 6-8 months that the quality of most internet generated MLM leads has gone down all across the board ... not just in the leads that we use, but in the leads systems of other companies that our colleagues use.
For years we have used this method to build our business. I still use this method. It is good to have a company advertise for us, dropping the cost for everyone and simplifying the advertising process for our team. However because the quality of lead is poorer, it costs more in both time and money to advertise this way... and it's much harder for a new person to learn.
It has gotten to the point this year that our team started looking for some other internet advertising options that are both affordable AND more effective.
MLM Basics
The basics of any network marketing venture are always the same. Enjoy your company's product or service, and help others to do the same. Partner with like minded and like hearted people who want what you want. Build a team with relationships of trust. Get REFERRALS!
If you HATE talking to people then you should NOT be in network marketing or really any business ... since every business requires that you talk to people one way or the other.
Robert Kiyosaki says that most people fail in business because they have poor communication skills. And in network marketing you DO need to be continually reaching out and connecting with others.
If you want to build your network marketing business online so that you don't need to talk to people, I hate to say it, but you're wasting your time. Talking to people is essential to your MLM business success, and if you're not willing or able to do this then network marketing is not the right business option for you.
And that's OK because this business isn't right for everyone. Each of us were created withour own unique gifts and talents, and that the network marketing business model is not a good fit for everyone.
Fastest Way to Build MLM
So assuming that you are building your MLM business online for the RIGHT reasons (rather than to hide from talking with people!!) how do you meet qualified prospects?
Truly the FASTEST way to build a business is to share your product or opportunity with people you already know. To continually get referrals from the people you know. And to teach them to do the same.
Network Marketing is all about RELATIONSHIPS. Network marketing works well for those people whose circle of influence (people they know) includes open minded or business minded individuals, or people who are open to your product or service.
But what if the people you know are not? What if your current circle of influence is filled with people who have no interest in business or in what you're doing? OR what if you don't want to work with your current friends and family?!
Then you'll need to develop a NEW circle of influence! And that is what this issue of Home Business With Heart is about.
This is the question that separates those who are successful in network marketing from those who are not. Those who build themselves into a large center of influence make the most money!

One of the challenges I've faced over the years is that truly, the BEST leads I've ever used to build my business were the leads that I generated MYSELF. These were people that wanted to talk with me, who appreciated the information I shared with them.
