Are you looking at that new business idea in order to avoid the hard work of building your current business that you've already invested time, money and energy into?
Avoidance is easy, and the real work of building a business, well... it's work! It's not easy or comfortable to reach way beyond your comfort zone every day, to talk to new people. In fact, it can be scary sometimes!
Avoidance is easier on the other hand. You can sit in front of your computer and look at other businesses. This leads to the "network marketing junkie" phenomenon where a person goes from company to company, thinking the grass is aways greener somewhere else... and never getting any closer to achieving REAL dreams.
Are you looking at that new business idea because it has a new fancy internet marketing system?
Well, it has been my experience and observation that most folks don't have a clue as for how to do it. In fact, more than 99% of the Network Marketers that go online do it wrong! Although the biggest network marketing businesses are still built offline, you can build a large organization using the Internet.

Okay, now I understand that not everyone is looking for a new business idea for the wrong reasons! I don't mean to give you a hard time dear reader... it's just that so much on the internet these days is about fast and easy and slick... and that's not what creates real Network Marketing success.
All right, so lets say you actually are one of those folks that, like most of us, fell into the 'pit' so to speak, of looking at new business ideas for the wrong reason. How can you turn this around?
If you find yourself looking at a new business idea to avoid building your business...
I highly recommend that you get a coach! This could be someone in your upline, or a crossline buddy, someone that can act as an accountability partner with you. Share your productivity intentions for your day. For example, that you will talk to five new people about your business today. Then, share your results together! This really works. And if you didn't meet your intentions, explore honestly with your partner or coach, what was missing, that if it were present, would have me complete my five contacts for the day?
If you are looking at that new business idea simply because it has a fancy internet marketing system...
I recommend you explore what really DOES work on the internet. Replicating Web sites and systems do not. However, niche marketing and your own unique voice DO. Though building a network marketing business on the internet is not for everyone. You CAN develop some wonderful relationships and possibly business partnerships through creating a unique and tangible presence for yourself online. This would take most people years to learn and hundreds of thousands of dollars to perfect. Solution?
There is a little known tool that I discovered in 2004 that enabled me to "play with the big boys." It is a secret tool that, used properly, works wonders in Network Marketing. It is a new business idea in its own right that has proven over the long term to be one of my most stable online income sources.
Bottom line, if you'd like to use the Net in order to grow your organization, use the right tools!
