Network Marketing Strategy That Works

To really succeed in this industry you need to use a network marketing strategy that is proven to bring results. Save yourself years of trial and error by using proven methods that have been pioneered by the industry's top earners.

Most people new to network marketing don't even thing about a network marketing strategy when they first open their business. After signing on the dotted line, purchasing some product and a distributor kit, they plunge ahead without any training, planning or goal setting. Almost all the time, the person fails and then blames the network marketing industry, when it is really not the fault of network marketing.

I notice that many people do not treat network marketing like a real business. Any real business that you would open in your own community would have a business plan, and a marketing plan. Your network marketing business is the same.

An effective network marketing strategy requires that you think long, hard and seriously about what it actually takes to succeed in the business. No matter what company you are in, your strategy will always include these three components:

Leverage
Simplicity
Duplication

Now let us go into detail of each of those...

Network Marketing Strategy #1 — Leverage

First, you need to look at your company's compensation plan, so you understand how you advance through the levels of achievement and the income levels.

Next, you need to think about WHO you are going to choose to be the "Vice Presidents" of your network marketing organization.

Who are you looking for? Think about this... you are looking for leaders. Not your sweet Aunt Mabel who perhaps would benefit greatly from your product, but who has no interest in building a business.

I'm not saying to not look for customers, as these are the lifeblood of any business. I'm talking about a network marketing strategy that can set you free financially. For that kind of income, you will need a business oriented strategy.

If you want to build a full time or six figure income in network marketing, you need to look for people that can build a large organization with or without you.

You are looking for ambitious and entrepreneurial people. Positive minded people. People who work hard and who have big goals and big dreams. People who have a large circle of influence.

Next, you need to understand that not all of these folks are going to want to join you in your business. So you need to have a large and growing list of exceptional people to contact about your network marketing business.

What if you don't know a lot of ambitious, entrepreneurial people yet? Well, get out there and meet some then!! Attend your local Chamber of Commerce meeting and get to know the folks there.

Think about the benefits that your network marketing enterprise offers. Residual income, that comes in even when you don't work. Low investment, simplicity of operation.

Then think about some of the sharp professionals with good people skills who might appreciate what you have to offer!

Who do you know that is a sales professional who has to work long hours and on weekend to make sales that have little or no residuals?

Look up some of the realtors, insurance agents and other professionals in your community. Get to know them and their needs.

For example most real estate professionals have to be available weekends and evenings to close deals on homes, and they work VERY hard to get their sales.

Might they appreciate an extra income stream that freed up some of their time?

Hmmmmm..... you see how many amazing prospects might be just sitting there in your local community waiting for you to contact them? :-)

Network Marketing Strategy #2 — Simplicity

An important and often unrecognized element of a successful network marketing strategy is SIMPLICITY. You need to think about how to keep your business simple enough so that newcomers and part timers can begin to make a profit quickly.

If you don't create simplicity right away, your team will suffer from a lack of duplication, which we'll talk more in a minute. Your team members need to be able to build their businesses quickly, efficiently and effectively so that your organization can experience momentum and geometric growth

This is one of the most difficult lessons that smart people in the industry face. They come into the business bringing their experience with other businesses, or with the corporate world, thinking it will translate into an effective network marketing strategy.

Unfortunately, it does not, and so with yourself and your smart, high powered prospects you will need to be clear that SIMPLICITY is an essential component of a successful network marketing strategy.

Network Marketing Strategy #3 — Duplication

In order for your organization to experience geometric growth, you will need to use an easily duplicatable business building system... something simple enough that Aunt Mabel could use :-) (Even though you're looking for leaders!).

An easily duplicatable system, if it is effective, and if used with the right company and product, and with the right skills (yes you DO need SKILLS to build a network marketing business!!) will create momentum in your organization.

Most successful companies and teams already have duplicatable business systems in place. When you are new, you will want to use the system that your upline uses.

There are different types of duplicatable systems such as meetings, home parties, sharing a tape or DVD, web based presentations, etc ... find one that works for you keep it SMART and SIMPLE.

Educate your new people about the importance of this. One team I know uses the example of the McDonald's franchise which standardizes everything and is phenomenally successful as a result. Help your people know the importance of using a duplicatable system for their business.

Without a network marketing strategy that includes effective duplication, the most you can hope for with your network marketing enterprise is to get your products paid for. With duplication you can make millions!
